Excellence in Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) performance is a top priority for INSTAPLAST. We are committed to conduct our business in a manner that protects the health and safety of our employees and the communities in which we operate. We set annual performance targets and are committed to continuous improvement in all aspects of our operations.
Our approach to SHE is focused on three key areas:
Process Safety − which involves continual safety improvements to existing manufacturing processes and designing new processes. Operational and maintenance procedures are designed to identify and understand the hazards posed by processes involved in operating the plant and handling highly hazardous chemicals.
Workers Health − The Occupational Health program at INSTAPLAST includes industrial hygiene and occupational medicine aspects, focusing primarily on reducing health risks of employees. We monitor our employees regularly vis-â-vis the risks they are exposed to, taking all necessary steps to reduce these exposures.
Environment − We also recognize the importance of protecting the environment while conducting our business and believe that caring for the environment is not only an ethical and legal obligation but also a mechanism for success. INSTAPLAST abides by all local environmental laws and regulations including National Environmental Quality Standards (NEQS). We believe in environment-friendly technologies and use our know-how to develop sustainable packaging solutions designed for recycling or composting. Efficient resource management and the use of bio-polymers are further cornerstones in our environmental policy.
